Town Board Meeting Minutes 6-9-2026
These minutes are pending approval at the July 14th, 2026, board meeting.
The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:02 p.m. in the
Angelo Town Hall on June 9th, 2026.
1. Chairman Leverich discussed a possible data center moratorium. Supervisor
Geier approved a resolution to schedule a Special Town Meeting on Monday,
June 29, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., to consider adoption of a resolution by the electors
at the town meeting to authorize the Town Board of the Town of Angelo to
exercise zoning authority pursuant to Wis. Stat. S 60.10(2)(h), which power shall
be a general and continuing power for the town board. Seconded by Supervisor
Brown. 3-0. Motion Carried.
2. Discussed re-electing Steve Treu to the Board of Trustees of Erv’s Fire
Protection District. Supervisor Brown moved to approve the election. Second by Supervisor Geier. 3-0 Motion Carried.
3. Discussion regarding camping permits and/or ordinances (number of days living
there) was postponed to July’s meeting.
4. Discussion and Possible Action on Ordinance Issues.
a. Tucker – owner passed away. Lori Stietz is listed on the deed. Photos have
been sent by Supervisor Brown.
b. Mobile Home Park – waiting on granting licenses until issues are resolved.
c. Crocker – Lawyers are involved, talking to estate.
d. 15607 Hat – Skirted camper still on property, Supervisor Brown will review
with letter and attorney follow-up. Owner Louise Cruz Nicholes is currently
out of town. No one is currently staying in the camper, but he is interested
in being able to stay in it. Will need to follow up once the camper and
mobile ordinance is solved.
e. Vian County Trunk AA – Discussed cleaning up area and securing debris.
f. 10214 Hwy 16 – cars and junk. 2nd notice will be sent.
g. 10230 Hwy 16 – scrap, junk, and someone living in camper. 2 nd notice will
be sent.
h. 14097 Haven Ave – camper and deck. Need to review permits and/or
ordinances with attorney.
5. Suggestion was made to keep the summer hours the same year round at the
disposal center to keep consistency. Wednesdays 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm and
Saturday 9 am – 4 pm. Supervisor Geier motioned to approve the hours.
Seconded by Supervisor Brown. 3-0 Motion carried.
6. Road Maintenance
a. Inspiration – Completed
b. Hilltop and Janus ($10,000)– shoulder fix – Van Tassle
d. Infield has water damage. Chairman Leverage will discuss with the county
e. Imperial – suggestion was made to put up 40 mph signs. Currently no signs
are posted. Chairman Leverich will contact the county to see if they can put a
sign up.
7. Treasure report was handed out. Clerk/Treasurer will be looking into new
software. Current software is not user friendly.
8. Resident asked if there was a dumpster ordinance. Having issues with neighbor’s
dumpster on their property. Garbage blowing around and smells. 11751 State Hwy 71.
9. Resident brought up the issue with speeding on Goodwater Ave. No signs are
posted. This is a state issue. Chairman Leverich will see if we can post an advisory speed limit sign.
10. Approval of Bill for Payment – Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills
before the board. Second by Supervisor Geier. 3-0 Motion Carried.
11. Supervisor Geier moved to adjourn at 8:00 p.m. Second by Supervisor Brown. 3-0. Motion Carried.
