Board of Review 10/15/2026

The Board of Review met on Thursday October 15th, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Angelo
Town Hall. Chairman Jim Leverich, Supervisor Dave Geier, Supervisor Norb Brown and Assessor
Bob Madvig were present. Angela Bunker Town Treasurer and Heather Pieper Town Clerk were
also present.
Clerk Heather Pieper completed certified Board of Review Training for 2026.
Chairman Leverich called the Board of Review into session at 5:00 p.m.
The assessment book was examined and reviewed.
Maurice Amundson filed an objection to Real Property Assessment for his property located at 16817
County Highway AA, Sparta, WI 54656. Tax Key # 00400549-0000. Chairman Leverich sworn
Maurice Amundson in at 5:12 p.m. Maurice is questioning his property value being diminished
because of his neighbor’s junk in yard and home appearance. Assessor Madvig agreed to add a note
to neighbor’s property and reassess next spring. If not cleaned up, he will allow a 10% reduction to
Mr. Amundson’s assessment. Motion by Chairman Leverich to close, seconded by Supervisor
Brown. 3-0 Motion carried.
Motion by Supervisor Geier at 7:00 p.m. for final adjournment of the Board of Review for 2026,
Second by Supervisor Brown. 3-0 motion carried.
