Town Board Meeting Minutes 1-13-2026

The Town Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Leverich at 7:00 p.m. in the Angelo Town Hall on January 13th, 2026.

1. Supervisor Brown moved to approve the December 9th, 2025, minutes. Second by Supervisor Geier. 3-0 Motion Carried.

2. The Town of Angelo must complete a property revaluation by the end of 2027 to stay in compliance. It was discussed and the revaluation will occur in 2026.
Supervisor Brown motioned to accept. Second by Supervisor Geier. 3-0 Motion Carried.

3. Jerry & Jayne Choate presented information on an easement issue near their property. It was decided that the Town of Angelo will allow both landowners on each side of the property to use the right-of-way to the middle of the property. In the event
the town needs to open the road, the right-of-way (of 30 feet) will be used by the town and the property vacated by the nearby landowners.

4. Ordinance Issues:
Tucker – no further action.
Collons/Cleary – the fence is no longer enclosing the old cars, and more cars are coming in.
Richards – no further action.
Mobile Home Park – no further action but lot signs and numbers have not been established (as per fire department). Supervisor Geier will contact owner.
Crocker – deputy is working on final evictions and then sale of the property.
10760 Harmony Ave – working with attorney on a letter and there has been no response to letters and more vehicles are present.
15845 Hwy 16 – more junk cars and a letter is being sent out by town attorney.
15607 Hat – Skirted camper on property and will need to be reviewed next meeting.

Vian County Trunk AA – Vehicles are piling up into the county right-of-way additional review next meeting.

5. Discussion on disposal center. Town is looking at some additional bids due to the change in ownership of MDS. No action taken.
6. Roads – looking to do road tour in February 2026.
7. Clerk & Treasure Update – looking to get a drop box at the town hall in 2026 for tax payment drop offs.
8. Discussion on Town Hall – The lights outside of the town hall are not operational. Supervisor Brown will contact Xcel to get the lights fixed.
9. 911 Ambulance Coverage was discussed. Supervisor Brown made a motion to stay with Emplify Health. Supervisor Brown seconded. 3-0 Motion carried. Cost will remain the same at $10 per capita through 2026-2027.
10. Public Comment – discussion continued on a new bulletin board for the town hall to be made from poly carbon. Will continue to review.
11. Approval of Bills for Payment – Supervisor Brown moved to approve the bills before the board. Second by Supervisor Geier.  3-0 Motion Carried.
12. Supervisor Geier moved to adjourn at 7:25 p.m. Second by Supervisor Brown. 3-0 Motion Carried.
